The Peninsula Environment Group (PEG) is a voluntary group promoting and supporting sustainable living in the Woy Woy area. Since the group was set up in 2008 we have organised talks, films, picnics, festivals, a solar panel bulk-buying schemes and local recycling guides. Our current activities are:
1. the PEG Food Network: an organic food-buying group
2. the biennial (every two years) Woytopia Festival
3. PEG Nature Play Group for under-5s (and their parents)
4. GUST (Grow Urban Shade Trees) planting street shade trees
5. Everglades Lagoon Wetland bushcare group
We organise occasional bushwalks and one-off events (advertised on our Facebook page)
